It seems that every time I move to a new city there are a lot of people who don’t know the city well enough to write a blog about it. So, my goal is to write about the things I am most excited about, then to share a bit about my life and our family.

This week I just moved from my home in Maryland to Charlotte, NC. It has been quite a move, but I’m excited to bring my friends and family whom I haven’t seen in a while with me, and make it a fun summer vacation.

I think that the process of relocating to new cities is different for everyone, from professional people who have lived there for a while, to a college student who moved to new place to be with other people, to families who moved from place to place. To me, each move is different and I hope to share my experiences with the rest of the world.

Relocating is hard. I love it, but it also has its challenges. My wife and I have been married for about 8 years now. We have four kids, a dog, and a cat. We lived in our native city for about 3 years before moving to Charlotte, NC. Our kids have been born and raised in Charlotte, but we recently moved back to Charlotte and have lived here for about a year. We both have jobs here and our kids attend the same schools as we do.

Moving can be a very emotional exercise. It’s a lot about setting up new routines and routines that we have to adjust to. Although it’s hard, it’s also easy to do it and get used to it. Moving also has the added benefit of being a great opportunity to meet new people. I love meeting new people. I’m particularly excited about this move because I currently teach a lot of the kids at a school I co-own.

We’re currently staying in a three bedroom townhouse in the center of Charlotte. Its a fantastic area, close to the highway, great schools, and the local grocery stores. We’re hoping to find a rental for the summer. It’ll probably take a few months to get settled but it’s a great place to call home. I’m looking forward to seeing the neighborhood grow.

We are currently looking for a rental in Charlotte, but the area is a little sketchy for new housing. I think I’ll keep this one in mind when it happens.
